South Florida Boat Club

The South Florida Boat Club boasts two significant locations, one in the famous Fort Lauderdale area and another in Key Biscayne. Together, these two destinations have been serving the greater Miami area for more than a decade.

They place a great emphasis on maintaining their large fleet and helping it to grow in accordance with the number of members enrolled in their program. Based on the demand from their customers, South Florida Boat Club can offer a wide variety of boats, including center-console boats, bowriders, deck boats, and cruiser models.

Each year, the United States Coast Guard inspects each boat to ensure that it is still seaworthy from the previous season. This gives prospective members more peace of mind about their safety out on the open water.

Another key feature of the South Florida Boat Club is that there are no restrictions on the amount that you can use a boat. Reservations can be made up to six months in advance, but there is no limit to the number of reservations you can make with a full membership. There are no daily charges for taking a boat out on the water. You pay only for the cost of fuel.

Are Boat Club Memberships Worth It

Boat club memberships are worth it for beginning boaters and boaters who do not have the money to buy a new boat. If you go out often, say every weekend, and you do not have a boat, a boat club will be an inexpensive way of boating.

However, if you love sailing for weeks on end, and you love spending night outs on a boat, you are better off buying your own boat. Having your own boat gives you peace of mind when you are sailing, but it comes with a host of costs that you have to meet.

Every boat club operates differently, but they all have the same benefits you have access to a boat when you need one, and you never have to clean a boat.

Question On South Florida Boat Club

Oasis Marinas at Westshore Yacht Club in Tampa, FL, United States ...

Anyone here ever used that club? Looks to be a cheaper alternative to both owning and the occasional “daily rent.” Just wanted to hear your reviews about the availability, cost effectiveness, etc…

I use a boat club up in boca, Ive been very happy. Its great to be able to take out a 32 foot dual engine intrepid or sea pro and not be responsible for the 35k dollar bill if the engine blows. Also what do you do during a hurricane when you own a boat? For weekend use, the club made more sense to me than buying one.

Ive found i prefer clubs that do by the hour, rather than day. This makes it where I can get a boat within a days notice or so. Going out into the ocean for 2-3 hours is the perfect amount of time. After 3 hours you start to wonder what do we do now?.

    Naples Sailing & Yacht Club

    Naples, Florida

896 River Point Dr, Naples, FL 34102, United States

At the Naples Sailing & Yacht Club, you learn more than just how to tie nautical knots when you take a trip by boat. You travel over land and sea, tying ties with hundreds of pals at each stop. In most places, going boating is something thats done with your family together with maybe a few close friends.

However, in Naples, going boating encompasses a far wider range of activities, some of which have nothing to do with the sea at all, such as multi-boat excursions and regattas.

In 1964, the club was first established with a collection of sailboats and a small hut. Now, members may enjoy activities like dining, dancing, partying, swimming, and relaxing in a contemporary clubhouse that was built to resemble a cruise ship.

Members will get the impression that they are on a luxury ship thanks to the interior design, which includes details such as portholes in the kitchen doors and nautical flags in the ballroom.

When visiting neighboring clubs in Florida or in the Caribbean, members often travel together on cruises. Trips to Longboat Key, Key West, and Marathon are three of the most well-known destinations that may be reached by boat.

In addition to that, there is a fishing club that sets up fishing excursions for its members. In regattas, participants with sailboats compete against one another for the right to boast.

    How Do Boat Clubs Work

Boat clubs allow members to access a boat from their fleet after paying a monthly fee. A member can reserve a boat for a specific day and time and the club will ensure they have that boat for their boating needs. If you do not have the money to buy and maintain a boat, boat club memberships allow you inexpensive access to a boat. This comes in handy for new boaters who are not sure whether boating is the right hobby for them. Before you buy a boat that you may only use a few times every year, try joining a boat club.

If you are new to boating, the boat club offers training to start you off with boating. There are several other perks that may come with a boat club membership, including slides and skis among other water toys.

You do not have to boat alone when you can join other boaters at the club and make new friends. The gatherings can be a great place to learn more about boating and make a few new friends.

How many boats do you have access to? If you join a small boat club serving a community by the lake, you will have access to only a few boats. However, if you join an Oceanside club serving tourists and larger communities, you will have access to several boats.

The Freedom Boat Club is one of the oldest boat clubs, and they have a variety of boats, including cruisers, bow riders, deck boats, and fishing boats. Such a club doesnt restrict the boat you take out each time.
