Turks & Caicos are a group of 40 islands that are a part of British Overseas Territory. They are split into the Turks Islands & Caicos Islands. The primary Caicos islands are Providenciales and North, South, Middle, East, and West Caicos. Its a stunning tropical paradise in the Caribbean known for beautiful beaches, a relaxing atmosphere, and warm weather.
Turks & Caicos is warm and sunny year-round, with most days of sunshine. The only issue you can run into when traveling here is hurricane season, which is between June through November, but theres a relatively small chance that a hurricane will ruin your trip. It will be hot and humid in the summer, but the winds around the islands do help to relieve some of the stifling stickiness of the air. Its a good idea to consider buying travel insurance for a trip during these months.
To arrive in Turks & Caicos, there are regular flights scheduled to the airport on Providenciales through several major carriers including Delta and American Airlines. You can also reach by boat to the port in Grand Turk if coming by cruise ship. Once on the island, you can take ferries between islands, get around by your private boat rental, or take taxis. You can also rent a car to drive around, but this is often more expensive than taking taxis where you need to go.

The Heart of the Islands, North and Middle Caicos, are truly special and different from Provo on so many levels. Empty roads lace their way past cotton plantations, Flamingo Pond and some of the islands oldest settlements on North Caicos before crossing the causeway towards the caves of Conch Bar, Dragon Cay off Mudjin and onwards towards Bambarra and Lorimers.
