The houseboats run on regular gas. You will be provided with a full tank upon departure, and you will be charged just for the fuel you use on your trip. If you need to fill-up mid-trip, we have gas pumps at our docks. Remember, well drive you in and out of the marina, and get you on your way as fast as possible.

How many people can a houseboat sleep?

Depending on the model you rent, our houseboats comfortably sleep from ten to twenty-two people. Or, if you would rather sleep under the stars, you can throw out a sleeping bag on the top deck. There is plenty of room inside and out for dining, dancing, fishing, sunbathing, and relaxing. You will be provided a life vest for each guest.

Can anyone give us some insight on renting a houseboat for 8 in July for a week? We are two families with teenagers who want to rent jet skis, fish and take hikes on shore. We are looking for a nice boat to accommodate everyone comfortably and one that has good air conditioning and won’t break down!

My family did this many years ago and we had to carry all our gear down a big hill in a wheelbarrow to load and unload the boat. It was hot and tiring! Before we could even take off from the dock, the owners had to replace the battery on the boat which delayed our trip for many hours. Also, the air conditioner was useless and someone siphoned our gas from our truck in the parking lot while we were on the lake! Sorry to say that I can not remember the name of that company but it was so long ago they may have changed things anyway!

Jones Valley. Bridge Bay. I would stick with one of these. Bridge bay is easier to load but all resorts will require work and it is hot! Bridge bay is a little more central to the lake. We have been going to Lake Shasta for over 20 years but we always do a resort.
