The storage compound at 3 Flags is secured with Fencing and 24 Hour Video Surveillance at the access gates.
The facility is on priviate property with the owners living on the site year round for added security.
HOURS & ACCESS
The storage facility is accessible from May 1st to October 31st. Seven days a week from 8:30 am to 10:00 pm.
From November 1st to April 30th, access to the storage facillity is by appointment only.

Use A Chain And Padlock
The more locks you can add, the better, from a security point of view. A length of chain can go through the trailer wheel and around the trailer. This is chiefly a deterrence and should always be used with other locking methods. A determined thief could use a bolt cutter to cut the chain, but most will simply look for something thats easier to steal when a chain and padlock is combined with other security methods.
Dont Forget To Block Your Trailer
One thing youll want to make sure you do if you go with trailer storage, particularly if you wont be moving the trailer all season, is to block it. Blocking a trailer is a straightforward process.
- Choose a Location Choose a location out of the way of falling tree limbs and other debris. The ground should be firm.
- Chock the Wheels and Level the Trailer
- For Trailers With Spring Suspension, Chain Axles to the Trailer Frame This will prevent the axles from sagging. Be sure youre not running the chain across brake lines or trailer wires.
- Raise the Trailer Position a floor jack a few feet behind the rear axle, then lift the frame until the rear tires are a couple of inches above the ground. Position a jack stand under the frame with a piece of wood underneath for support, then lower the floor jack. Next, position the floor jack a few feet in front of the front axle, and repeat the process. Finally, readjust the trailer level.

Now that you’ve been explained just some of the benefits offered by putting your boat trailer on blocks you might be wondering about the best way to go about pulling it off. Luckily we’ve got a step by step guide that will lay out every step and all the tools required.
Tools required:
- Solid lumber for support under jack stands
- Wheel chocks
- Chain and shackles
The first part of getting your boat trailer on blocks is to pick a spot where it won’t need to be moved. Avoid overhangs that might dump snow or rain onto your boat. Ensure that all points where the jack stands will sit are stable and level. You can then chock the wheels, disconnect the tow vehicle, and level the trailer with the tongue jack.
If your trailer has a leaf-spring suspension system then support the axles by chaining them to the trailer frame with an even amount of slack on each side. Make sure you’re not running them across any brake lines or wires which might end up getting pinched and destroyed when the chains are tightened. Torsion-axle suspension systems can skip this step entirely.
Raise the trailer with the floor jack and place the jack stands in order to remove the tires using the lug-nut wrench. You might need to use those lumber blocks listed above in order to get sufficient height. Ensure that the trailer is kept even and store the tires once they’re removed and, voila, you’re blocked up for as long as required.
