Puerto Rico Crash Boat Beach

Descripci De La Platja

Crash Boat Beach, Puerto Rico (4K)

Crashboat is situated on the north-west coast of Puerto Rico in Aguadilla municipal administration. It is considered to be the most popular beach here due to picturesque sandy beach, surrounded with luxuriant vegetation, and clear azure sea without strong waves and artful currents

The coastline is rather stretched and wide, although its length reduced almost twice after the destructive Maria hurricane. Soft golden sand and tender tide sound favor serene relaxation, and thick vegetation brings comfortable shadow and coolness. The beach is perfect for family recreation and outdoor picnics, and it will be appreciated by people who love fishing, snorkeling, and diving.

The pier projecting far into the sea is absolutely safe and open for everyone. As a rule, it is occupied by fishermen early in the morning, and closer to noon, the pier turns into one recreational facility. It is fun and safe to jump into water from it , to enjoy snorkeling and diving in order to explore the coral reef and feast eyes upon the sea inhabitants. On the beach, one can rent sport equipment and surfing boards and even order a special diving tour to sunken military motor boats and airplanes.

Crashboat offers other beach games: riding hydro cycles, kayaks and water ski, fashionable sapboarding, and such beach sports as volleyball, football, shuttlecock, and beach tennis.

El Yunque National Forest

This lush and beautiful rainforest is one of Puerto Ricos most incredible natural wonders. El Yunque National Forest is overgrown with fronds, vines, and tropical flowers and studded with rivers and rushing waterfalls. Networks of hiking trails carry you through the forest, which is home to bats, mongooses, frogs, and more than 97 species of bird.

Crash Boat Beach Come And Enjoy Aguadilla

Aguadilla

Crash Boat Beach is located on the northwest coast of Puerto Rico, in the town of Aguadilla about a 15 minutes drive from the Rafael Hernandez International Airport. Its name comes from what it was used for by the military a port for military boats to rescue downed aircrews training from the nearby Ramey Air Force Base.

As this beach is not a Balneario, such facilities as showers, dressing rooms, lifeguards, safety buoys are not available. Parking is available at this beach.

You must experience Crash Boat Beach, this beach is one of my favorites! Great beach for swimming, crystalline waters with perfect turquoise colors. The abandoned pier is a clear reminder of the history of this place. Obviously, as is no longer used for its original purpose, the pier is used by many in many fun activities, such as walking, fishing, taking photos, and even as a diving platform. Great place to take a walk in the nearby hills and observe a beautiful sunset.

Welcome To Puerto Rico

Crash Boat Beach, Aguadilla, Puerto Rico Photograph by Nicole Badger

This Caribbean island has all the earmarks of paradise white-sand beaches, turquoise water, and waving palms. Surfers and snorkelers cavort in the water where tropical fish dart among the reefs. But its also mountainous, and threaded with misty rainforest, rivers, and mangroves.

Puerto Ricos capital city, San Juan, is a pulsing metropolis with a patchwork of architectural identities, open-air cafes, lively plazas, and a thriving nightlife. Shaped by centuries of colonization, Puerto Ricos history is one of repression and revolution. Today its a territory of the United States, and the islands complicated history is evident in the massive stone fortresses that dot its shoreline and in its unique culture pieced together from indigenous, invading, and immigrant populations. This legacy is perhaps most evident in the countrys culinary traditions, which include vibrant dishes made with fried plantain, fresh seafood, slow-cooked pork, and frituras delicious deep-fried treats sold at street kiosks that come in a variety of forms.

Puerto Rico is blessed with so many beautiful beaches, and Crash Boat Beach is one of them. It is very popular, so it can be busy , but it is has two sandy areas with ample space people to spread out. here are some facilities, some food and water sports vendors, and even a chair/umbrella rental place. It is a colorful beach, with the pier and the fishing boats, you can get lots of good photos. Really, this beach offers something for everyone! If you are in the area, it is a must-visit stop.

Crash Boat Beach is located in Aguadilla, on the west side of Puerto Rico. There are remnants of a ship at the shoreline on the far left side . I dont know for sure, but I assume that is how the beach came to be called Crash Boat.

The old pier is left over from the US Air Force, who used it to dock rescue boats. The pier is painted in bright greens and yellows, and it is open for visitor use for fishing , for jumping into the water for fun , and the pilings below make it a great snorkel/dive site.

Be mindful of the current. Depending on the tides and recent weather, there can be swift rip currents pulling away from the pier. This is especially true in the winter months.

As a beach, it is fairly large . The sand is nice, light gold color, the water is crystal clear.

Crashboat Beach Tours And Tickets

Once the site of a military port that rescued downed aircrews, Cashboat Beach has since become a favorite ocean-side destination for travelers to northwest Puerto Rico. Clear turquoise waters and calm surf make it an ideal spot for families with small children, but visitors say the picturesque shores of Crashboat are perfect for just about any traveler.

Its easy to spend a day relaxing on the sands of this quiet beach, with rocky cliffs perfect for jumping into refreshing waters. But visitors agree its worth staying until sunset, when the bright red sun tucks behind the deep blue ocean and local vendors come out to prepare traditional food over open fires. Crashboat attracts plenty of out-of-towners on holiday, but its the perfect beach for visitors looking to interact with locals and get a taste of contemporary Puerto Rican life, too.
