While there are lots of boat rental services you can find all around California and Big Bear in general, most of them arent going to be eco-friendly. However, Captain Johns Fawn Harbor and Marina have taken several steps to ensure that their services dont end up leaving behind a massive carbon footprint. One of the main things that have put Captain Johns on our map is the fact that the owner, Captain John, is very hands on about the entire facility. Hes usually available, so if you have any questions or concerns, you can direct them to him too! His daughter also works at the facility, so its a very family oriented, hands on business that is always great to be around. While there are the general boat rentals like pontoons, paddle boards, and adventure sports like jet skis, and waterboarding, they also take things one step further with their Tarzan Boat! There are dive boards, jumping platforms, and much more for everyone to enjoy. After youre done, you can even get a picnic basket and go on a picnic on one of the picnic tables that have been spread out throughout the boat outfitters! Theres even a Frisbee golf course if you end up feeling like you want some adventure off the water too, so its a well rounded facility for everyone regardless of your preferences!
Cruzer Lake Tours Pontoon Boats Water Bikes At Big Bear Marina
Seven clean and quiet fishing boats and four luxury pontoons with bluetooth radio, all new, got quite the workout in 2020.
Big Bear Marina saw its biggest season ever last year with boating on the lake a preferred way to social distance. Every weekday was like a weekend, every weekend like a holiday, said Big Bear Marinas Steve Fengler.
So the answer was to rejuvenate the fleet at Big Bear Marina for the 2021 summer season, with still-more new pontoon boats and two live webcam feeds . Plus two new dock systems, each with 30 slips, very sturdy with concrete and metal construction.
Big Bear Cruzer, the marinas almost new 25-passenger tour boat, is cruising daily with narrated tours of Big Bear Lake. Fully-covered with sound system and onboard potty, Big Bear Cruzer offers an intimate experience during 90-minute tours that sail past China Island, the Solar Observatory, celebrity homes and more.
Theres no minimum passenger requirements so Cruzer cruises even if theres only one customer on board. Tours are set for 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. along with 11 a.m as demand warrants. Fares are $22, senior/military 12, ages 4-12 are $15, free 3 and under.
Pontoon boats are a great way to enjoy family time on the water
Smaller luxury pontoon boats have proven to be very popular with families that dont need so much space, or with couples wanting plenty of room, Fengler said.

Get A Slip Rental While At Big Bear Lake
With over 350 boat slips, we can accommodate rentals anywhere from a single night up to a full season. In addition to slips, we offer affordable mooring options for our long-term renters.
All of our customer slips are securely locked behind a dock gate. When you check into the marina we will trade you a key for a $10 refundable deposit, and you will have private access to the dock at any and all hours.
In addition to your slip rental, you will receive access to our *private launch ramp to launch and re-trailer your boat once each. If you need to pull your boat in or out on a more regular basis, we are happy to direct you to the public launching facilities on the north shore of the lake.
The largest vessel we can accommodate is a maximum length of 26 feet LOA , which is also the legal length limit on Big Bear Lake. There is no minimum sized vessel.
