**Rental pick up time is between 9 a.m. & 10:30a.m.
Cancellation Policy:
Week day rentals must be canceled 72 hours before rental with a $50 non refundable payment.
Holiday and weekend rentals must be canceled two weeks in advance with a $50 non refundable payment.
If it is a holiday week , you must cancel two weeks in advance with a $50 non refundable payment.
Eligible Renters:
Renters and drivers must be at least 21 years of age. If born after January 1st, 1989, the driver must posses an approved Boaters Safety Certificate.
Renters and drivers must have a valid drivers license.
The person who signs the rental contract is defined as the driver and therefore will be the only individual allowed to operate the boat during the contracted time period.
Operators must have prior boating experience.
How Renting a Boat Works:
Renters may call to reserve a boat. It is best to reserve a boat at least 2 weeks in advance, anything less, we cannot guarantee there will be a boat available to rent. First come, first served.
To reserve your rental, the renter must make a payment of 1/2 of the agreed amount at the time of the reservation plus tax. The rest of the payment will be taken at the time of the rental plus tax.You can pay with credit card over the phone.
However, a credit card, not a debit card is needed to make a reservation to hold a security deposit. This card must be present the day of the rental.

Lake Wilcox Habitat Enhancement Project
Richmond Hill and the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority started the Lake Wilcox Habitat Enhancement Project in 2005 to improve the in-water habitat of the Lake Wilcox shoreline.
Changes were made to North Shore Parkette. The lake’s shoreline is mostly privately owned and educating landowners is a key part of the program. We help landowners who wish to join the project and make improvements on their property.
The Oak Ridges Friends of the Environment also supports the project. This community group helps us with events and spreads the word about the project to homeowners in the area.

Places To Hike And Things To See In And Around The Greater Toronto Area

Bond Lake is a 55 acre, spring fed lake, just north of Richmond Hill on Yonge Street. Perhaps its location has been the key to the various uses the lake and surrounding lands have had over the years. I decided to explore the lake and surrounding trails and so I parked at the end of Trish Drive where a pathway leads to the Oak Ridges Trail. This trail extends the length of the moraine and is listed at 260 kilometers long. The 1877 county atlas below has been marked in brown to show approximately where Old Colony Road and Trish Drive are today. The route of the hike around the lake is shown in red.
Before I had walked very far along the trail I came to a large stand of sumac trees. Experience has shown that these often hide signs of habitation and this was no exception. The foundations for a barn can be found in this bush. This is likely the barn from the Walker Estate seen on the map above although the Whitney & Morton barn should also be in the same area.
A car repair barn was constructed near the generating facility but not much remains other than the corner of two walls.
Sticking to the side of the lake the trail becomes little more than a footpath after leaving the formal trail. Along this little pathway, not far from the substation, is an old pump house.
Hopefully you wont be needing the washrooms as they look like they need a serious cleaning.
