The average price of a new boat is around $25,000. The biggest advantage the buyer of a charity boat enjoys is the price. Boat Angel does its best to provide accurate information and current pictures of the boats. We’ll let you know what type of documentation we have on the boat so you can easily transfer it in your state.
The bidding is done in increments. Most of our boats start at a relatively low threshold, around ten dollars, and bidders drive them up over a seven to ten day period. The last bidder wins. Remember, you are responsible for your bids.
You are expected to pickup your item within seven days of the successful bidding. We will disclose the pickup location to the winning bidder immediately after the financial transaction has been completed. We have a seven-day return policy for misrepresentation.

Boats Bbq & More At September 1 Charity Boat Auction
This Labor Day weekend, the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is hosting the 21st annual Charity Boat Auction on Saturday, September 1. More than 100 donated boats and watercraftranging in size and performance from luxury boats to dinghieswill be in the water and on land to be auctioned off to the highest bidders.
Because this is an absolute auction, all boats will be sold the day of the event, with no minimums or reserves, said CBMM Boat Donations Program Director Todd Taylor. Plus, CBMM staff and volunteers will be on hand at an onsite title office for ease of transfer and title work.
The event also includes a flea market-style tag sale from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., when guests can purchase a variety of used boating gear, including ground tackle, electrical equipment, hardware, rope, chain, oars, life jackets, fishing tackle, motors, and more.
Proceeds from the rain or shine event benefit the children and adults served by CBMMs education, restoration, and exhibition programming.
In addition to being listed online, auction boats will be available for preview at CBMM on Thursday, August 30 and Friday, August 31 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day, with a $5 non-member admission. Guests can also preview the boats on auction grounds beginning at 8:00 a.m. the day of the event, with the live auction beginning at 11:00 a.m. Pit beef and other food and beverages will be available for purchase beginning at 10:00 a.m., with beer being served starting at 10:30 a.m.

The Angel Boat is a charity which operates a skippered community canal boat Angel II of Islington for use by local residents and community groups of all ages at a cost they can afford. Based at Angel, Islington, London since 1976, our 12 berth community narrowboat each year provides some 2000 young people and other disadvantaged and isolated local community groups with residential and day trips under the supervision of our experienced skipper.

Cbmm Forms Partnership With Curtis Stokes & Associates
The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum has recently announced the formation of a new, preferred partnership with Curtis Stokes & Associates in support of CBMMs Charity Boat Donation program.
As part of the new partnership, CBMM and Curtis Stokes will jointly work to acquire, evaluate, market, and sell a selection of luxury boats donated to CBMM.
We are grateful for Curtis Stokes expertise, resources, and support in the yacht brokerage field, commented CBMM Charity Boat Donation Program Director Taylor Williams. They will help CBMM market the higher-end boats that are donated to usgiving our donors the best value for their donationswhile expanding the reach of our program to a larger pool of buyers.
As part of the preferred partnership, Curtis Stokes will assist CBMM with the pre-evaluation of boats, and the determination of each boats marketability.
Curtis Stokes will then help market these luxury boats through avenues only accessible to yacht brokers, which really helps us out tremendously, said Williams. For each successful sale they help with, CBMM will pay a small percentage for their services. The net, however, will be more revenues to support the people served by CBMM, and a higher valuation for our donors gifts.
We are deeply invested in the communities we serve, commented Curtis Stokes & Associates President Curtis Stokes. So helping a non-profit like CBMM in this wayand knowing the proceeds from each sale do so much goodis very meaningful to us.
Juvenile And Adult Motivational Prison Literature Campaign
Boat Angel’s literacy program has impacted hundreds of thousands of inmates in youth, state and federal prisons. By converting money received from the sale of boat donations to publishing we have enabled the production of thousands of pieces of religious and motivational materials which have been sent post paid free of charge to prison chaplains and prison libraries in every state of the Union.. The proceeds from boat donations have funded these programs.

These thirteen 30-minute TV programs are shown nationally, internationally and emphasize love, morality, truthfulness and bravery.
