Hundreds Of Haitian Migrants Arrive Off Florida Keys In Overloaded Boat
On Saturday afternoon , more than 300 Haitian migrants reportedly arrived offshore of the Florida Keys via an overloaded sailboat.
According to the Miami Herald, the U.S. Coast Guard and Border Patrol the boat was grounded off shore of a gated community. Around 200 people remained on the vessel while 113 jumped into the shallow water and made it to shore.
The people who remained on the boat were placed on a Coast Guard cutter and will most likely be sent back to Haiti.

People from the boat sat on the grounds of the resort wrapped in towels and were provided bottled water, according to photos provided to the Herald.
Additionally, the Coast Guard said several people from the group who jumped into the water had to be rescued because they didnt have life jackets.
Adam Hoffner, division chief for U.S. Customs and Border Protections Miami operations, says the people who came to shore are being taken to a Border Patrol detention center in Dania Beach, noting that two people aboard the boat were identified as suspected smugglers and arrested.
Several landings have happened with boats coming from Haiti in recent months. The area off the shore of northern Key Largo has been a frequent destination of Haitian migrants since late last year.

Bbq Hip Hop Yacht Trip
I visited Miami with a group of 3 girls . Initially we booked for the Hip Hop Yacht Trip but due to unforeseen circumstances, we were rescheduled for the BBQ trip. Due to some confusion about where to dock, we missed that trip and we rescheduled for the next day. Even with all that, the staff was great! They rescheduled us without hesitation and “squeezed” us into the next trip. The actually trip experience was great! you sail at sea to the island for about 20 minutes, dock there for 3 hours, and sail back another 20 minutes. Overall WE HAD A BLAST! They had water toys, we controlled the music and played our jams, and they treated us with wine, beer, burgers, sausages, and chips & dip! It was great! It was literally the highlight of our trip.

Boat To pick us up arrived late… then made us get off the island early. Def not all you can eat bbq. Not super impressed at all. I wouldn’t recommend spending your hard earned money. Also never recieved pictures that were taken of us on the boat and called multiple times to get them.
Fun boat ride overall. Our ride was cut short due to a few guests being late and unfortunately were not compensated with extra time at the end. Also, didn’t get to have the big floating raft in the water which would’ve been a fun addition to the noodles provided. Liked the fact we could bring our own drinks and food
