Renters who cancel at least 14 days before check-in will get back 100% of the amount theyâve paid. If they cancel between 7 and 14 days before check-in, theyâll get back 50%.
Notes: Our cancellation policy states that you must cancel or change your reservation within two weeks of your pickup date. If you cancel inside of this two-week period, you will forfeit your entire rental rate.

Payment is taken in full at the time of booking. You can receive a full refund as long as you cancel prior to two weeks before you pick up date. If you cancel within this two week window, you forfeit your entire rental rate, unless we are able to re rent the boat.

Boat Rental Requirements
1. All boat reservations are on a first come, first serve basis, only.
2. All daily rental boats are required to be back at our docks at 5 PM. Overnight rentals must be docked by 7PM. Rental boats dont have lights, no night operation is permitted.
3. You have to be a minimum of 21 years of age to sign and agree to the rental contract.
4. If you were born on or after July 1, 1972, You must possess an approved Maryland Boating Safety Certificate to operate the rental boat. Otherwise, you may be issued a Temporary Boating Education Certificate after reading a safety information sheet created by the MD Department of Natural Resources in order to rent and operate a recreational vessel. Limited to two certificates in a lifetime.
5. A 50% reservation deposit of the base price is required for ALL multi-day boat rentals at the time of reservation.
6. NO refunds will be issued for any reason including inclement weather.

Bond Lake is a 55 acre, spring fed lake, just north of Richmond Hill on Yonge Street. Perhaps its location has been the key to the various uses the lake and surrounding lands have had over the years. I decided to explore the lake and surrounding trails and so I parked at the end of Trish Drive where a pathway leads to the Oak Ridges Trail. This trail extends the length of the moraine and is listed at 260 kilometers long. The 1877 county atlas below has been marked in brown to show approximately where Old Colony Road and Trish Drive are today. The route of the hike around the lake is shown in red.
Before I had walked very far along the trail I came to a large stand of sumac trees. Experience has shown that these often hide signs of habitation and this was no exception. The foundations for a barn can be found in this bush. This is likely the barn from the Walker Estate seen on the map above although the Whitney & Morton barn should also be in the same area.
A car repair barn was constructed near the generating facility but not much remains other than the corner of two walls.
Sticking to the side of the lake the trail becomes little more than a footpath after leaving the formal trail. Along this little pathway, not far from the substation, is an old pump house.
Hopefully you wont be needing the washrooms as they look like they need a serious cleaning.

âBe aware they gouge you with cost of gas. Theyâre literally ripping people off. My own fault not reading all the details for pontoon boat rental. I assumed you start with a full tank and fill it up at end of day with whatever you use. Thats not how it is. Its a flat charge of $120 for 8 hour day. We were out on boat all day riding around lake and barely burned a 1/8 of a tank. At most with today high cost of gas Iâm guessing maybe we used $50 in gas tops probably way less. Itâs a rip off. I will say employees were very nice and pleasant to deal with and boat was in good shape but wonât be back due to the gas policy.â
