The Freedom Boat Club Story
Welcome to Freedom Boat Club Boating Made Simple®
Freedom Boat Club was first founded in 1989 in Sarasota, FL. It is the oldest and largest boat club in the nation. The vision and purpose in establishing the boat club model was simple and straightforward – to deliver a hassle-free recreational boating experience for its members.
At the time, the concept was considered revolutionary and break-through. Boaters were either traditional boat owners or friends of boat owners. There were no boat clubs, fractional boating, boating timeshare, or even many boat rental facilities. The exclusive fraternity of boat owners stored their vessels at marinas, home docks or at the yacht club. When Freedom Boat Club launched, this new offering presented an exciting new alternative that opened the waterways to newcomers as well as lapsed boaters.
As the organization began its initial growth, Freedom Boat Club was sold to an investment group. Over time, it became evident that the best leadership for this type of business model would require active engagement at the helm. John Giglio and Robert Daly had both been working for the investment operator and negotiated to buy the enterprise in 2011. Mr. Giglio bought Mr. Daly out in 2012 and became the sole President.
While the original mission has fundamentally remained the same, the composition and scope of Freedom Boat Club is continually expanding.

Freedom Boat Club Celebrates Record Year
Freedom Boat Club, a division of Brunswick Corporation, and the nations largest boat club, held its annual franchisee conference, virtually bringing together club owners from around the world to celebrate a record year for the business. Through November 2020, Freedom Boat Club has grown to more than 245 locations serving more than 55,000 members.
2020 marked one of the most successful years in franchise history as consumers turned to boating as safe, social-distance activity to spend time with friends and family, said Cecil Cohn, President, Freedom Boat Club Network. We are energized by the passion of our members and franchisees who are committed to building the largest and most diverse consumer base in boating by introducing the on-water lifestyle to the next generation and fostering a growing community of lifetime boaters.
The three-day virtual event was attended by franchisees from around the world as Freedom shared its vision for 2021 across Operations, Technology, Shared Services, Public Relations, Marketing, as well as providing updates from Freedoms vast array of vendor partners.
Additionally, operators were able to interact with some of the worlds leading boat brands including Sea Ray, Bayliner, Cypress Cay, Boston Whaler, and more all powered by Mercury Marines industry-leading four-stroke outboard engines.

Richland Pointe Wellness Center
The newest amenity at Reynolds, Richland Pointe is the first facility in the United States to install Technogym equipment. The 12-station workout is a completely guided, personalized program that delivers an engaged circuit training experience in less time with no adjustments and no need for an instructor. Other offerings include an infinity edge relaxation pool, two movement studios, three treatment rooms for massages and esthetic, on-site health coach, and indoor and outdoor spin, cardio, yoga, movement, and stretch classes.
Nautical Boat Club At Lanier Islands
The Nautical Boat Club at Lanier Islands considers itself to be more of a country club with an emphasis on sailing. Their docks are tucked inside the Margaritaville entertainment center, giving you access to a wide variety of fun activities and delicious restaurants. You gain access to year-round boating in an idyllic location.
The fleet itself consists of new boats purchased each year including varieties like surf boats, double-decker party boats, tri-toons, and sport boats. Old boats are sold or replaced every two to three years so that you always have the most modern experience possible.
Unfortunately, you will find that the rates are rather high for entrance into this exclusive boating club. The one-time membership fee ranges from $1,000 to $6,000 with monthly costs potentially reaching as high as $600 per month thereafter.
For sailors who havent quite found their sea legs yet, Nautical Boat Club does offer:

Worried about spending too much money on an annual membership that you may not use? Nottely Boat Club and Marina may have the perfect solution for you. Instead of offering memberships, you can instead reserve one of their boats for four- to eight-hour blocks.
They offer a 22 triton boat perfect for watersports as well as 21 pontoon ideal for enjoying a calm day on the water. Prices for renting the boats start at just under $200 and increase from there for larger time blocks and multi-day reservations.
Tube rentals and other watersports equipment can also be conveniently rented when placing your reservation.
This boating club may not be the best option for beginners. Unlike some of the other boating clubs that offer hands-on training in the water, Nottely only requires you to watch a short video on protocol and boating safety. This may not be sufficient enough to help you master the skills you need to make boating a regular part of your life.

North Georgia Boating Club
North Georgia Boating Club boasts far more than the simple rental of a boat. This boating club is ideal for individuals and families who want to enjoy everything water has to offer both onshore and offshore. Membership includes the use of the fleet itself as well as access to waterfront rental properties.
Much like the Freedom Boat Club, this group also offers a wide variety of membership options depending on the number of people who plan to use these amenities. A basic individual plan starts at $200 while a corporate plan for six individuals totals $800.
Keep in mind that your first year of membership will be viewed as a trial basis to determine your eligibility for future years.
The downside to the North Georgia Boating Club is its relatively small size. Some of the larger national boat club chains boast thousands of boats. Meanwhile, this club has fewer than ten models available for your weekly rental.
