Boat tour of Grand Lake in Colorado

Great delivery service to the desired boat launch spot, clean boat in great condition, full tank of gas, and a cooler with ice. All in all a great experience. Our guide was totally professional and friendly. Will rent from H2O Sports next time for sure.

The service was outstanding and the equipment top notch. Lake recommendation was spot on. They even adjusted the start time for us when we had issues at our cabin. A great day on the water thanks to wonderful guides and his staff at H2O.

We rented a pontoon. Nick was great to work with. Prompt delivery, competitive pricing. The boat was in excellent condition. We also rented a tube, and the kids had a great time. I would definitely suggest renting from H2O.

Our guide was seriously amazing! We rented a pontoon for a bachelorette party and he made sure to send us to the most beautiful lake and was so helpful with recommendations! Will absolutely be back and use H20 sports rental again!

Go Paddling On Grand Lake

Kayaking on Grand Lake.

If you are looking to use your arms or feet to power your own boat, a couple businesses on the lakefront offer kayak and pedal boat rentals. Youll see the glimmering gold, pink and purple pedal boats lining one of the wooden docks on Grand Lake. Pedal boats are a great way to experience the lake with kids. To avoid excessive pedaling, stay closer to shore rather than heading out to the middle of the lake, especially if the wind picks up. The water is choppier in the middle of the lake, making the waters difficult to navigate for kids, especially if you are trying to make it back in a hurry to return your boat.

If paddling is more your style, Mountain Paddlers Kayak Shak on Grand Lakes public boat dock rents several different types of kayaks. The Grand Lake Marina also rents kayaks, canoes and single-person paddle boards. With four miles of shoreline on Grand Lake, it takes about 2 hours to kayak the entire shoreline, according to Mountain Paddlers, but you also can just take your time exploring the lake without having to go all around it. For a slight change of scenery, you can kayak to Shadow Mountain Lake via a short canal. Shadow Mountain Lake is much larger than Grand Lake with 8 miles of shoreline and 1,346 surface acres.

If you want to launch from Shadow Lake, you can rent kayaks or paddle boards at the Trail Ridge Marina on Shadow Mountain Lake.
