    Due to the large amount of wait list applications The Marina will only be accepting wait list applicants who have vessels that fit into one of the following two categories:

  • Sailboats or powerboats between 30 to 34 feet that have a 10.5-feet or LESS beam
  • Powerboats that are 34-feet or less with a beam of 12-feet or less
  • Past tenants in good standing who are on our wait-list.
  • Those who bring in a copy of their bottom paint invoice from a boatyard that shows you have non-biocide paint on your hull.

    Welcome To Harbor Island West Marina

    Experience the warm, friendly community of Harbor Island West Marina your Gateway to the Bay. Situated at the west end of Harbor Island, our guests have immediate access to the bay and are just a few minutes voyage to the Pacific Ocean. We offer 620 slips ranging in size from 21 to 100 feet, a full service fuel dock, sail repair loft, deli, sailing academy, pool, jacuzzi, laundry facilities and restrooms along with a management philosophy that has forty years of experience in understanding how to take care of our valued boaters.

    We are located less than a mile from the San Diego International Airport and just around the corner from the sites and activities of our beautiful Embarcadero and the action of downtown’s Gaslamp District. Turning west, an easy bike ride will land you at picturesque Liberty Station where you can easily provision for the weekend with grocery stores, bakeries and numerous restaurants amidst acres of public parkland. Just a mile or so further you will find Point Loma Village with access to all things maritime including several marine gear stores as well as more one-of-a-kind local restaurants.

    Freeway access, whether you are traveling east, west, north or south is a snap and we offer plenty of convenient on-site free parking for our guests with seven day a week security.

The marina at the Hyatt comes with lots of perks but is also one of the pricier boat slip rentals in the area at $3.33 per foot per day.

    Another favorite marina for boat slip rental is the Sunroad Resort Marina. Located in the North San Diego Bay, this marina offers access to some beautiful views of the city lights and skyline. In addition to boat slips, Sunroad Resort Marina offers other amenities such as lockers, a recreational area, and a community pavilion. This spot is so popular that many boaters in the area want to reserve on a long-term or annual basis, however there is a waitlist for these longer reservation times.
