Summer is peak boating season on Lake St. Clair with most activity happening from June to early September. Boaters can expect warm weather with temperatures between 61 and 81 in the summer, with clear blue skies no better boating weather than that!

Although the winters are freezing and all boats have been winterized, activity doesnt die down once summer ends. In the winter, youll find locals on the lake ice fishing or zipping around the snow on their snowmobiles.

Pool & Squirt Zone Spray Ground

The pool facility can be accessed from a paved walkway from the parking lot. A ramp path is provided to get onto the pool deck. A portable lift is available to enter the pool. Family, mens and womens changing rooms are available for use.

The Squirt Zone Spray Ground located outside of the pool complex can be accessed by paved walkways. All ground spray features and water cannons are accessible and located on poured-in-place rubber surfacing. Many benches and five small shade structures area on the concrete pavement surrounding the facility. Family, mens and womens changing rooms are available for use at the pool complex.

The Ford Piquette Avenue Plant

If youre familiar with Detroit, you know all about the citys rich history when it comes to American-made cars, especially those by Ford. The Ford Piquette Avenue Plant is the oldest auto factory open to the public in the world and offers visitors a unique look at the birthplace of the Ford Model T Car. Youll even get a look at Henry Fords office as it was in 1908 maybe it will spark your own ground-breaking invention!

The factory is open Thursday Sunday and you can join a guided tour at 10AM, 12PM or 2PM.

Head north of Detroit to Gross Pointe Shores and visit the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House. Does the name Ford sound familiar? Lake St. Clair is a fresh water lake that is surrounded by Michigan and Ontario, Canada. The lake is located about 6 miles north of Detroit. We have 430 square miles of water area. It is 26 miles from the north to the south, and about 24 miles from east to west. We are connected to Lake Huron via the St. Clair River, and then flows to Lake Erie via the Detroit River. The St. Clair River is 39 miles long and flows into the largest freshwater delta in the U.S., which is called the The Flats.

This bay is one of the finest fishing spots on Lake St. Clair. St. John’s marsh is an excellent place to canoe and view the birds, mammals, and amphibians of the wetlands Also, it’s far enough away from the city that you avoid watercraft congestion and insanity on the water. Water quality is excellent in the area. Most water front property lack parking-we have plenty! Restaurants abound and Canada is about 7 miles away. by ferry.

The sunsets over the water are spectacular!! Sand bottom lake is great for swimming. If you’re into fishing or water sports you will be in paradise. Never run out of things to see as you can literally circle the globe by water from our home.
