What Types Of Charter Boats Do We Offer
As a USCG licensed Master Captain, the owner prefers boats over 25 ft. for maximum fish-ability, spacious open decks and a good ride across the water. We offer fishing charters for our customers on some of the largest open fishing boats in this area for many years. Our main charter boats offer shade from the sun and dependable late model engines, life saving equipment, annual coast guard safety inspections and electronics. All of our boats are over 26 ft in length to provide maximum fishing and moving around space for you and your crew and a nice ride to and from the fishing grounds.
A true Fishing Machine! The Wizard is a 27 ft. center console, open deck fishing platform custom built for Georgia saltwater fishing. Also seen in the photos above.
Our main boat shown in all the photos on this page is custom built by Louis Rambo and Son boat Company. This boat is a 27 ft. long fishing machine with an open and unobstructed floor plan providing a dance floor of ample room and 360 degrees of fish fighting open space with nothing to trip over. It is well suited for fishing charters in the coastal Georgia area and can easily handle 6 person fishing trips.
Our second charter boat is hard core offshore fishing machine. It is a large open fishing boat just under 27 ft. and powered with twin outboards for quick runs through very rough water and seas or very choppy water in general. A Shrimp Trawler More Commonly Referred To As A Shrimp Boat Is A Large Fishing Vessel Used To Harvest Shrimp
A vital characteristic of the trawler is its outriggers. Outriggers protrude from the rest of the vessel and pull along the net or trawl. They allow the boats to trawl more lines in the water, while seeking shrimp in deep water. Shrimp boats have powerful deck winches that help haul in the large nets filled with shrimp.
Overall, the best net for shrimping depends on the water depth and size of shrimp. Wing nets are great for deep waters. They act as a visual and physical barrier which herds or guides the animals into the net.
Seine nets have a large wall of netting with a drawstring or pocket at one end and encircle the catch. They work well in shallow waters.
Conical nets are cone-shaped with an opening at one end. These are ideal for catching the smaller shellfish.
Usually these vessels use a variety of fishing gear, such as sorting tables, ice boxes, and fish pumps. Trawlers typically hold up to 500 thousand harvested pounds during their season.

Georgia Fishing License Information & Regulations
Georgia fishing regulations require all anglers over the age of 16 to have a fishing license. Georgia’s annual fishing licenses cost $15 for residents and $50 for non-residents. Discounted day licenses are also available. For saltwater fishing, a free Saltwater Information Permit is also required. And those interested in mountain trout fishing must purchase an additional trout license. You can purchase a Georgia fishing license online, in person or by phone.

St. Simons Island Pier
St. Simons Island Pier is a popular spot among locals for fishing and crabbing. There are several cleaning stations on the pier, and a nearby bait and tackle shop offers both advice and supplies.
Jekyll Island Pier
Great for fishing and crabbing, Jekyll Island Pier is located next to Clam Creek Picnic Area, a family-friendly area for visitors and locals to relax.
Gascoigne Bluff
