Family owned and operated, Xpress Boats has been building quality aluminum boats in Arkansas since 1966. Starting out in a little schoolhouse in Friendship, Arkansas, Xpress Boats built the first all welded all aluminum boat. Xpress Boats discovered an untapped market in the boating industry and began to make a name for itself.
It was in the late 80s when Xpress Boats transformed the aluminum boat with the creation of the Hyper-Lift® Hull. The first of its kind, this padded hull raised the bar on the performance, durability and style of the aluminum boat. This was truly a defining moment for Xpress Boats. Now boaters had the durability and strength of aluminum with the performance and style that had only been found on a fiberglass boat.
Through the years Xpress experienced tremendous growth, and in 2000 moved its headquarters to Hot Springs, Arkansas. Today, Xpress offers more choices and more value with the expanded Hyper-Lift® Series and the price friendly Xplorer Series.
How Xpress Boats Are Built
Quality boats start with quality construction processes. Xpress Boats uses high-quality 5052 aluminum alloy coils. These are cut using automated computer-aided drafting programs, which offer incredible precision. Then highly skilled workers use handcrafted welding to put together the boat’s hull and components – without using rivets or screws. Each model is checked by a Quality Control team multiple times throughout the construction process to make sure the boats are up to the company’s high standards.

How Xpress Boats Are Built
At Xpress, we’re proud of the way our boats look, but we believe it’s what’s inside that really counts. Xpress boats feature the most advanced design, materials, construction methods and safety engineering in the entire fishing boat industry. As you’ll see, we use aircraft technology in our hull construction – there’s no wood in a Xpress boat. Our innovative engineering approach enables every Xpress hull to carry a lifetime warranty, And, most important of all, every Xpress boat is designed and built with your complete safety in mind. Wood-Free Construction Lot of Aluminum fishing boats are built with wood in such strategic areas as the transom, deck and floor.
Xpress Boats are constructed with quality .080-.125 gauge aluminum alloy. The aluminum is fed through a decoiler to prepare it for cutting.
Each part is designed using a CAD program. After the aluminum is fed through the decoiler, it is cut with a plasma torch. This state of the art process ensures each part is made to exact specifications.
Xpress Boats are not assembled by machine, but are welded together by some of the industry’s most experienced welders.The backbone of each Xpress boat is its longitudinal rib system. Each rib receives over 200 individual welds, making all Xpress aluminum hulls unequalled in strength and rigidity.
Any imperfections found on the hull are buffed out before beginning the paint process.

The Founding Of Xpress Boats
This family-owned and operated company began in 1996 in an old schoolhouse in Friendship, Arkansas. The company founders wanted to create a better aluminum boat. The status quo involved drilling holes on boat hulls and riveting them together. The problem? Holes can allow for water to enter the boat, which can result in damage and loss of value. The solution? Xpress Boats crafted the first all-welded all-aluminum boat. These early models saw great success, allowing the company to expand.
Over the years, the company continued pursuing new ways to improve aluminum boats. In the late 1980s, they unveiled the Hyper-Lift® Hull. This cutting-edge design used a padded hull and created a new standard for aluminum boats everywhere. Owners enjoyed the strength and performance that aluminum offers while also getting aesthetic benefits that used to only be found in fiberglass boats.
