Check Out New Rv Designs And Technology

I really should let Matt write this paragraph because this is what draws him to RV shows. He loves getting into the nitty-gritty of how a travel trailer, 5th wheel, or drive-able units are being updated and improved. We have even toured the plant where our unit was manufactured! #rvnerds

While at the Ohio RV and Boat show we have found things that have made our driving and set up easier. For instance, we found the MORryd stairs and suspension system. We have loved both of these items tremendously!

Ive watched how the new units are being made in videos or displays. It has given me a better understanding about what I am looking for in a unit when I go to purchase one.

While we still camp with our pre-teens and teenagers we are already on the lookout for our retirement unit. We are serious about finding the unit that will be our home once all the kids have flown the coop. Since we have 8 kids, we have been waiting for this day for a VERY LONG TIME. Our coming unit has to be PERFECT.

Tips For Visiting An Rv Show

Some RV Shows are massive expositions, and some are quaint affairs. If youre going to one of the big shows, check their website for a floorplan, and list of vendors. Create a plan of action, otherwise, you may find yourself overwhelmed.

RV shows are also a great place to take short seminars from industry experts on everything from travel destinations to full-time living to picking the right truck to pull a trailer and more. Some seminars are free, some have an additional charge. Check the shows website or Facebook page for information before arriving. Often seminars can only hold a small number of people and fill quickly on the weekends.

RV shows generally run the course of a weekend, with some starting on Wednesday or Thursday. Weekdays usually see the smallest crowds. If youre buying, your negotiation stance improves towards the end of the show as vendors are eager to make deals.

Camping Gear And Gadgets

I love to shop for camping gear and gadgets! There are so many amazing products that come out every year and I cant wait to get my hands on them. Often, the dealers have things displayed in a way that I can see how it is to be used while out camping.

I remember one year finding the fishing pole that roasts marshmallows over the campfire. That is such a fun and creative way to make my smores!

Camping gear is expensive and sometimes we find things discounted at the RV show. Every year is different and so we HAVE to go to check out the deals.

One MAJOR benefit to attending a show is that there is no pressure from the dealers. Matt and I went to every location and did not have anyone make us feel uncomfortable. However, everyone was available to help if we needed them. They gave us plenty of space to shop, snap pictures, and write down the information we needed.
